Art classes for kids

Art and craft classes are a brilliant way for children to explore their creative talents, take time away from screens, and get messy….away from home.

we have over 20 years experience of creating Art with children. Coastal Art Studios provides a gentle loving and caring environment for children to gain creative confidence and explore a wide range of techniques and art processes through experimenting with a variety of quality Art materials.

Join me in the Studio, for Part 1 of this fun and interactive Rock Art workshop, as part of Draíocht Rocks Project. Collect some stones or rocks from your garden, the park or the beach and give them a wash before this workshop with me, using a variety of techniques to create rock art.

These activities are suitable for children aged 5-10 years, though older and younger siblings are welcome to give it a try too.

Art Explorers Go Wild with Genevieve Harden – Part 1 Celebrating Cruinniú na nÓg 2020 with Draíocht’s Artists Presented by Draíocht in collaboration with Creative Fingal and Creative Ireland -9yrs

#CruinniuNaNog – Art Explorers Go Wild with Genevieve Harden – Part 2

Presented by Draíocht in collaboration with Creative Fingal and Creative Ireland.

Genevieve will be showing you how to make 3 different artworks from nature, inspired by one of her favourite artists, Andy Goldsworthy. You will be adding your own style to the ideas and creations and the wonderful thing about making art from nature, is that it will disintegrate naturally over time. Firstly, Gen brings materials from the beach to the woods, and from the woods and the park to the beach, to create two striking body outlines. A wonderful surprise for anyone who finds them! Then she makes a mandala from nature materials. Watch out for the hens! Finally, she presses flowers to make beautiful cards that you can send to your loved ones.
